Google's purchase of Nest

This Nest acquisition makes me think Google didn’t want these things to be jokes. That they want to make devices that tens of millions of people will buy and use in the way that they buy and use Apple devices.

Interesting take. Its started making me think about how Nest could be the basis for not just home automation but also a whole new set of services for the home. This could be far more interesting than Google Glass.
